Who is Matt Dinniman?

Matt Dinniman is an American artist, musician and author best known for his breakthrough Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Every book in the series has become a New York Times bestseller, with more than 12 million copies sold worldwide. Translation rights have been sold in 31 language markets, and a television adaptation is currently in development.

Dungeon Crawler Carl is an unapologetically entertaining, darkly hilarious and completely unpredictable blend of science fiction, role-playing games and reality TV. The series belongs to the LitRPG genre, a form of fiction that combines fantasy or science fiction storytelling with game mechanics. Characters gain experience points, level up, acquire new skills and encounter game-like stats throughout the story.

The Finnish edition of Dungeon Crawler Carl – Peli alkaa will be published on 12 October, followed by the second book, Carl & lopunajan operaatio, on 22 March 2027. Both books have been translated into Finnish by Päivi Honkapää.
