What is Comic Con?

Arctic Lights Comic Con is the first Finnish Comic Con. The event will be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on May 16–17, 2026. Join us to experience, see, and fall in love – creating unforgettable memories in the world of pop culture.

We invite some of the most popular stars of pop culture from TV series and movies to the event. Come meet the stars and attend their Q&A sessions. In the Starlight Zone, you can meet the stars in person and purchase a photo, autograph, or selfie ticket to capture your meeting with your favorite star.

Comic Cons around the world bring some of the biggest names in gaming, movies, and TV for the enjoyment of fans. Arctic Lights Comic Con is no exception; we aim to offer fans a wide-ranging experience of everything pop culture has to offer.

Arctic Lights Comic Con offers lots of fun activities! Join discussion panels with your favorite stars, try out the latest games, attend comic-themed talks, watch live drawing sessions, enjoy Cosplay, AMV, and K-Pop competitions, play board games, or watch dance and acrobatic performances.

Arctic Lights Comic Con is much more than comics and pop culture. The event is about community and inclusivity—you can be yourself here! We aim to create an environment where every attendee feels comfortable. You’ll find like-minded people and communities at the event. It is designed to be inclusive, with a quiet space where you can escape from overwhelming sensory stimuli, and special considerations in the queuing system to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to see and experience the Comic Con atmosphere!

Ticket exchange for wristbands begins one hour before the event opens!

The event does not require cash, but some exhibitors and artists may request payment in cash!

Most exhibitors accept card payments as well as MobilePay, but there may also be exhibitors at the event who only accept cash.

The Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre has a wide selection of restaurants, offering options for special dietary needs as well.

You can bring non-alcoholic drinks and snacks to the event—we recommend bringing a refillable water bottle!

The event has a cloakroom, which costs €4 (card payments only). In addition to a coat, you can also leave a bag in the cloakroom.

There is no ATM at the Expo and Convention Centre. The nearest ATM is located at the Tripla Shopping Centre.

The Expo and Convention Centre has 4,600 parking spaces in its parking garage and outdoor areas.

We allow service dogs at the event. You must be able to show the proper documentation proving that you need a service dog!

Tickets

Early Bird ticket sales for the event will begin on October 8, 2025.

With an event ticket you can enter the event and experience the entire event program during the event’s opening hours! With the ticket you can see and hear the stage programs, please note that the number of spectators on the stages is limited, you can try out different activities, some games may have age restrictions. You can also meet your favorite actors – Photo and autograph tickets are sold separately.

Event tickets will be sold in two stages, Blind Bird tickets will be sold at the beginning of ticket sales, they are slightly cheaper – Standard tickets will be sold when the event program has started to be published. The content of Blind Bird and Standard tickets is the same

A Fast Pass ticket allows you to enter the event on the day you purchased the ticket. You can use the Fast Pass line at the entrance, Arctic Lights Main Stage, Starlight Zone and Creators Zone.

Artists and craftsmen will be selling their work in the Artist Alley area. The ticket entitles two people to entry during the event and construction period. The ticket gives you a place in the Artist Alley area, which includes a 120cm wide table, two chairs and electricity. The application period for Artist Alley places will open in the autumn!

You can purchase tickets for the event from the Ticketmasters online store or at the door during the event. Please note that the event has limited capacity and we cannot guarantee that all tickets will be available on the event dates.

Once tickets for a given day are sold out, no more will be sold. We limit the number of event tickets for safety and fire safety reasons.

If children’s tickets are sold out for a certain day, you can buy an adult ticket for your child!

Our tickets are non-refundable after payment.

Event tickets are not personal. The ticket entitles the person in possession of the ticket to one entry into the event. The ticket will be exchanged at the event for a wristband that allows you to move out of the exhibition halls during the event and back in later!

Unfortunately, event tickets are non-refundable. We are sorry that your favorite celebrity guest has canceled their appearance at the event, but there is still plenty of other exciting content that you will enjoy!

We will refund photo, autograph, and selfie tickets if the celebrity guest you purchased the ticket for has canceled their appearance at the event.

Autographs and photoshoots

We will be inviting celebrity guests to the event, with whom you can take a photo. Photoshoots require a Comic Con event ticket – and a photoshoot ticket purchased in addition to the event ticket.

Please note that you must collect the printed photo after the photoshoot – the link to your digital photo can be found on the printed photo!

Yes, you will need a separate ticket for a photo or autograph session. You can purchase photo and autograph tickets on our website. If tickets are still available, you can also purchase them at the event!

Prices for photo tickets vary between different guests. You can check the prices on the star guest’s profile page on our website!

A photo ticket allows a maximum of two people to be in the photo – you will receive one printed photo. Children under the age of four may be in the photo with their parents, and children under the age of 10 may be accompanied by their parents to the photo booth.

The photography backdrop is usually a branded Comic Con backdrop.

The photos are printed the same day they are taken. The waiting time varies depending on how many people have come to be photographed. It is important that you take the printed photo with you from the photo shoot, the printout will have a link to your digital photo!

Yes, you will receive a link to download the digital image for yourself!

The prices for autograph tickets vary between different guests. You can check the prices on the star guest’s profile page on our website!

All of our star guests have a selection of photos from which you can choose your favorite picture. With an autograph ticket, you can get an autograph either on the photos available or on an item you bring from home.

You can bring any item you want from home for autographing, please note that the price of the autograph ticket is the same, even if you bring your own item to be autographed. The star guest also has the right to refuse to have an item brought from home signed.

Cosplay

No one has the right to touch you or take photos of you without your permission. If another person makes you feel uncomfortable at the event, please contact our event staff or security immediately!

Do you want to take a picture?

Always ask permission before taking a picture of another person. Together we will create a respectful and safe atmosphere at our event, where everyone can enjoy Cosplay without feeling uncomfortable!

No, we encourage our event guests to wear their favorite cosies if they wish!

All weapon replicas used in cosplay costumes must comply with Finnish legislation on weapons carried on public places.

Toy weapons that can be visually identified as toys, such as water guns, are allowed. In addition, weapons that cannot be real, such as lightsabers, are allowed.

Weapon replicas, such as airsoft guns, are allowed if they have an orange plug in the barrel and can be visually determined to be harmless.

Knife and sword replicas are allowed, they must not be sharp. Please note that knives and swords must be kept in their sheaths in the event halls, you can take out the sword or knife in a photo situation.

Cosplay costumes must not have sharp parts such as nails or barbed wire that could hurt other event visitors.

Most of the cossajes at our events allow you to take pictures of yourself, but always remember to ask first before taking a picture!

You can store your belongings in the Cosplay locker, please note that the space is not guarded and space is limited. You can also store your belongings in the locker for a fee.

The event has its own dressing room for Cosplayers, and the space also has mirrors, chairs, and tables.

Children

Yes, families and children are welcome at Comic Con!

Children under 4 years old can enter the event free of charge – a cheaper children’s ticket is available for children aged 4-12.

Yes, we offer a cheaper ticket for 4-12 year olds, children under 4 years old can enter the event for free.

We recommend that children under 12 years of age do not attend the event without an adult. Children over 12 years of age can attend the event without an adult, however, the child must have parental permission, parents are responsible for their child at the event. The event is large, and we cannot be held responsible for children who arrive at the event without their parents.

Strollers and carriages are allowed at the event, however, please note that there will be a lot of people at the event and the event may get crowded at times.

Stage program and activities

All of our stage programs and activities are included in the admission price. However, it is good to be aware that there are limited seats on our stages and activity areas, so we recommend arriving early!

There are several stage areas at the event, you can check their location on the event map – there are also signs in the event area to help you find the areas.

Accessibility

The event is accessible, however, it is good to note that the event may become somewhat crowded, making it difficult to move around the event.

Your assistant will be admitted to the event for free – please be prepared to show documentation, such as an EU disability card, at the door!

An accessibility wristband is available for the event, if for some reason you cannot wait in line, you can pick up an accessibility wristband from the event information point. Please be prepared to show documentation of your need for an accessibility wristband!

Photography and videography

Yes. As the event organizer, we photograph and videotape the event, and the event also attracts media representatives who film at the event. When you purchase a ticket to the event, you agree that you may be photographed or videotaped, and that the footage may be used for marketing the event.

Yes, but you must ask permission from the people you are photographing. If the person does not want to be photographed, you cannot photograph them. Some of the event’s celebrity guests prohibit photography, so there may be a temporary ban on photography in the stage areas, and photography in the Starlight Zone is prohibited throughout the event.
